Cross Promotion

Target is the king of cross promotion. I just can't get enough of their clever ways to show girls with bouncing hair and twirly kids in the most fantastical lifestyle ever using the products they sell.

We have created a new campaign for our Shippy Women's Pocket Pouch Shirt using Etsy shop owner, Owly Shadow Puppets, as a model. We allow her to wave one of her puppets to increase exposure of her product. We also credit her in the listing and create a link back to her shop.

We were originally inspired when we saw her wearing our shirt at Crafty Bastards in Washington DC. I started snapping await at this cutey. The cross promotion campaign was an afterthought.

So far, our views on this item in our etsy shop are up 300% from other listings.

What Do They Talk About?

Call me paranoid, but these Secret Keepers are seem like they are up to something.

I still remember when a babysitter read me a book about a monkey with cymbols who came to life at night.

I better keep an eye on them.

Extra! Extra! Read all about it.

I'm blogging about someone blogging about us and I'm thrilled. What an honor, This such a fantastic blog called Absolutely Delish!

Wooden Wheelies

Is it a pull toy? Is it a car with an animal on it? This toy is meant to be played with. It is half vehicle and half doll. Therefore, it is a Wood Wheely Action Figure.

I had so much fun making my first wooden toy in the Chestnut Farmer line. Now, I just need someone to understand what it is.

In Stores Near You!

That is if you live in Chicago. You must stop by this super cute, hip and handmade only store called Renegade Handmade.

Display Display Display

I gathered a whole bunch of baskets to display our toys in. They are not very handy for traveling.

Here is a look at our display at the Renegade Craft Fair in Brooklyn.

Display Strategy for Toys

We don't know where they come from, but kids come flying out of nowhere into our shop. Their parents are not far behind them.

We stategically place the toys close to the ground and in front of our store. It is a total kid trap. There usually is a lot more crying than buying.

On the bright side, we do have items that have allowance friendly pricing.

First Thing I Have Ever Sewn- Passport Sleeve

I have never sewn anything with a sewing machine until now. I introduce you to my first ever passport sleeve.

It took me an entire day, the etsy forums and my wife's mother to teach me how to use the sewing machine.
